ConditionTrees appear to be in good condition but arborculturalist advice should be sort in relation to the condition of the trees.HistoryThe pine trees on Norfolk Street were planted through the instigation of Councillor Frank Nicholas in approximately 1908. He was also responsible for the planting of pine trees on the Esplanade and Douro Road in the same period. These trees lined the street on both sides. They were damaged by Council attempts to improve the road surface in the early 1990s and were saved by concerted community action. This place has been identified in 'Fremantle's Landscape: A Study for the Municipal Inventory' as being of cultural heritage significance.
