Reference numberE000287DescriptionOcean View is an example of a substantial dwelling built in what was a semi rural area in the second half of the nineteenth century, with some of the original outbuildings extant. It is significant for service as a maternity hospital during the interwar years and has close associations with Elias Solomon, who was a figure of influence in the public and business life of Fremantle in the latter half of the nineteenth century. Elias Solomon was also a significant figure in the Western Australian Jewish community of that time.Date1985PhotographerWatkins, SkipPhotograph FormatPhotographDigital ItemYes
