Named after Roger Tuckfield Goldsworthy arrived in Western Australia aboard the 'China' from Victoria with his wife on 14.08.1877. Colonial Secretary, under Governor Broome 1877–1880. Left for St Lucia in the West Indies to become the Administrator, September 1880; his wife followed in February 1881. President of Working Men's Association 1879, and also the Agricultural Society.
