Marine Terrace Carparking Study / Ove Arup and Partners
DESCRIPTION
AuthorOve Arup and PartnersDescriptionThe City of Fremantle ground lot carpark No. 11 fronts Marine Terrace near the Esplanade, the Italian Club and the Mews Road/Fishing Boat Harbour area. Within convenient walking area of this site there are approximately 180 unmarked spaces in the No.11 itself, 339 other on-street and off-street spaces available to the general public. This report examines the occupancy rate on a particular day in March 1986 and concludes that public on street parking is in short supply. This survey was conducted prior to the opening of the Esplanade Hotel reopening and the opening of Lombardo's Harbour Complex. The report concludes that the consequence of the shortfall would lead to severe congestion and disruption to the efficient operation of activities in the area. The report also identifies remedies to the problem particularly in light of the upcoming America's Cup and the resultant increase of activity in the area.ImprintWestern Australia, 1986Collation22 pages ; 30 cmLanguageEnglishDate Published1986Dewey Class352 ARUPublication FormatReport
