DescriptionThe author, the mother of school age children, sums up each day's occupations: cleaning, washing, ironing, sewing, shopping ; the weather ; trips to town and to the beach ; picnics at Point Walter ; visits to and from friends ; parties and entertainment ; the children's ailments. Her husband Ted seems to have been a tradesman or handyman, wallpapering, painting, etc... for a living, working in the neighbourhood (clients named) but sometimes also far away.
