The place contributes to a substantially intact late nineteenth and early twentieth century streetscape close to the centre of Fremantle.ArchaeologyConditionHistoryTwo cottages were erected on the lot in 1888 for James Gilchrist. Physical DescriptionDuplex 19-21 Tuckfield Street is a single storey building with rendered walls and a zincalume hipped roof. There is a dropped tiled verandah roof supported by ionic columns and a masonry balustrade. There are timber framed casement windows either side of a fixed pane window to the front elevation.
