The place contributes to a substantially intact late nineteenth and early twentieth century streetscape close to the centre of Fremantle. ArchaeologyConditionHistoryIn 1886 Joshua Davies erected a new cottage on the lot. However in 1896 Edward Davies owned the lot and it was vacant. In 1898 Charles Walker built two houses on the lot and they were occupied by John Max and William Bennet Smith. Physical DescriptionDuplex 18-20 Tuckfield Street is a single storey rendered with ashlar effect to the facade and stone sides of the house which has a zincalume hipped roof.
