AuthorVoyer, Pamola; Yardley, AnneDescriptionPamola Foley was born in 1934 and grew up at 50 High Street Fremantle. Her bookmaker father died in tragic circumstances when she was just 18 months. Her mother took over the business becoming the first woman bookie in WA. The family, which included Pam's two older brothers, lived above the shop. Pam left school at 14 to begin work at Simper's shipping office in the Fremantle Markets.
