He completed a commerce degree at Curtin University and while there participated in a Community Arts Project running for the Artrage Fringe Festival which cemented his interest and led to his involvement with Bizircus and the Circus School.There is commentary on the origins of Bizircus and the development of the Circus School as the teaching arm of the organisation. The move into the Old Customs house is covered including the difference having dedicated space made to the organisation, the changes that were then made to that space and its importance to circus in Fremantle.
