DESCRIPTION
AuthorSimpson, Narelle 1974-; Campbell, HeatherDescriptionBorn in 1974, Nel Simpson's talent for performing was recognised early when at ten years old she appeared in the film Fran, which starred Noni Hazlehurst. After studying theatre arts at Curtin University she discovered circus arts at a performance of Circus Oz in Albany Town Hall. She was 'completely inspired' and began a long association with the Circus School based at the Old Customs House in Phillimore Street, Fremantle. Though learning many other skills, Nel Simpson focussed on becoming an aerialist and stilt-walker. Over the years she has not only been a student, but a trainer, teaching classes and assisting with and producing events.
